On our blog we discuss all the great things the world has to offer and the people that are doing their part to save it for the future.  It could be individuals with a single goal, businesses with new ideas, or celebrities with strong voices.  The future of our world depends on each of us and our mission is to educate and act towards that future.  So, welcome and join us.

Who We Are

Mr. K - Kiss My Country is his passion, and his mission. He absolutely loves travel, and believes that every place in the world has something to offer. He’s also determined to be not  just a positive agent, but a positive force in the world.

Lexy - Lexy is passionate about people, life and places – and loves sharing what she sees and learns with others.   Curious by nature, she’s happiest with people from other cultures and seeing the world through their eyes.   Lexy’s favorite way to travel is the road trip.

The Story

Mr. K – How and why did we get started? You can blame it on a statistic. A couple of years ago, I was watching the History Channel. During a commercial break a statistic flashed on the screen with a voice over, “If every household in America changed one incandescent light bulb to a compact fluorescent one, the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions would be the equivalent of taking 800,000 automobiles off the road. ”

That stat has been well published on countless blogs and sites since then, but at that time I sat there dumbfounded. Such a simple and relatively painless thing for people to do, but such a profound impact. I thought, “I wish I could make that kind of impact. Start a business that helps people take small steps to collectively have a large impact on the world and the planet.”

That moment led me to create KissMyCountry. I had a lot of ideas, I worked on my own for awhile, I worked with others. But sometimes you need the right time, or the right people. So ….

Lexy - Enter Lexy. I met Mr. K. I had no idea he was working on such great ideas. After awhile he told me about KissMyCountry, and I was intrigued. I had to be part of it. I know that many voices together can change the world; I’ve seen it with my own eyes. I care deeply about saving the planet and Mr. K has great ideas about how to work together, have an impact, and have fun. I’m in.

Mr. K – Lexy and I became business partners. It was clear we were on the same page. We both want to save the planet, but enjoying the planet is just as important. After all, what’s the point of saving something if you’re not going to enjoy what you’ve saved? We’re starting with our blogs, but we have more – much more – planned for the next year. And we’re looking for others to join. So, welcome to our community. We look forward to saving the planet and enjoying the planet together.
